Winding through the county, you can also visit Lee Cabin, the summer retreat of General Robert E. Lee’s father, “Light Horse” Harry Lee, or stop in at the John Mathias Homestead, the county’s oldest home, built in 1797.

A scenic drive over Corridor H (WV55) from Moorefield will lead you to the Lost River Museum & Craft Cooperative, where you’ll find a slice Lost River Valley over the past 200 years. Stop at the Wardensville Visitor Center to pick up a county map and brochures for many of our interesting offerings.
