John Mathias Homestead – open weekends beginning June 2011 -Visit and tour this Civil War era home, which is featured on the West Virginia Civil War Trails Brochure. The Mathias Homestead is located at the intersection of WV 259S and Howard’s Lick Road, the entryway to Lost River State Park. Lost River Valley Museum – Located on WV 259 S – will host a Civil War Auto Tour from 8:40 a.m.-4 p.m. July 16. More details to come.

Heritage Weekend – events and home tours throughout Hardy County – is held each year during the last full weekend in Septmber. The 2011 event will be held Sept. 23-25.
