Lost River State Park

The unique Lost River is the namesake of this park so rich in history and character. The Lost River sinks into the ground five miles south of Wardensville and flows through dark underground caverns only to emerge again three miles away to form the Cacapon River!

Stay overnight in rustic vacation cabins and take in marvelous sunsets from the Cranny Crow Overlook.

The park offers over 20 miles of hiking trails through riverside and mountainous terrain that is home to often-seen wildlife.

A swimming pool, game court, picnic pavilions and horseback riding fill leisure-time hours.
